Photo Dialogue: Change

Change
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” –Unknown.

I call this photo Change. It obviously has been edited digitally. I am baffled by the fact that it seems to inspire me without having a word written. The part that inspires me most is that it’s not just a man pulling something, not just anything. He is striving to move something solid, strong, concrete, both figuratively and, in this case, literally. It conveys that ‘Where there’s a will, there’s a way.’ Each person has a different point of view, a different take or stand. He is taking you to a place where you can see his vision as well.

Change reminds me of everyday life, whether that be if I run into a problem and I need to find various ways to my solution or I simply need to stand up for what I feel is right and continue on the path I’m traveling, even if I’m alone on that path.

About me (:

Hello, my name is Amanda. You already know that, I'm sure. I'm nineteen years old. I was born in San Mateo but I'm from Lakeport, and Fairfield, and Napa... and a few other places actually... I moved quite a bit when I was younger but Lakeport will always be my home. My major is computer science. I like math and computers because there is one answer; they aren't subjective. I'm very blunt, and often more rude than I'd like to admit. I like things to be spelled out and straight forward, so I tend to come off impolite or offensive. I currently work for a management company in Novato. I honestly don't like where I am as far as progressing toward my dream job. Anyone who works for the Geek Squad (BestBuy) is my idol. The kind of people who can do almost anything with, or to, a computer astonish me. Seeing as how I don't have super powers, I can't change my career immediately, therefore, this class will hopefully help me with detail and technicalities. There are so many nooks and crannies in the law, and the English language in general, that how you word what you are trying to say is very, very important. I learned that the hard way. I do like to get work done early, but I often procrastinate. I try to get a head start on everything I do because, in my expierience, what can go wrong, will go wrong. This is my first online class and I'm pretty nervous. Reason: unknown. I am very excited though and look forward to working with everyone (:
